Bundle Dye Workshop 9/23 Healdsburg

Join Chelsea of Whimsy Makes at the Land + Local Farmstay in exploring the process of natural bundle dyeing. We will learn about preparing your fabric, natural dye terminology and how you can bring these skills home. You will get to dye your own silk charmeuse kerchief and cotton tote bag to experiment with how flowers, leaves and pigments interact when gently steamed onto your items, making one of a kind prints. All other materials will be provided. This is a 2 hour workshop with botanical spirit free cocktails and gorgeous cheese board provided by the talented Kim LaVere of Land & Local.

Workshop will be held at the Land + Local Farmstay in Healdsburg California on September 23, from 3-5pm.

About the instructor. With a background in events, floral design & organic farming, Chelsea Dennis (Owner) has applied her experiences in these fields to create textile, houseware & accessory offerings aligned with her passions. Between ethically foraging for seasonal invasive plants to working with local flower farmers and restaurants to minimize waste, the process of natural dyeing is woven into the fiber of Whimsy. Combining the ephemeral magic of nature with an intuitive dyeing practice, Whimsy Makes educates clients on creating one of a kind botanical keepsakes.
